The term purism was "invented" by Renildo , better known as King of Ambuba when signaled that they would welcome travelers into their home. With time and the conversations we were maturing the idea of purism , a term which could mean what we thought really do. A wild tourism in full contact with nature and in complete privacy . A Pure tourism. The guest will rarely find with other people if not to desire.
There are at least 15 years Ambuba receives visits from people from all over the world, always informal and unplanned way . We are making these visits to be better planned and generate income for the community.
Our concept of purism is balanced on the tripod comfort , security and privacy . The owner of the bungalow will be a kind of guardian of the visitors. He will take care of breakfast, will bring wood for the fire , and will be available through the mobile phone.

Ambuba
Ambuba is a rural riverside location to Camamu Bay, in the region called the Cocoa Coast, south of Bahia. It is surrounded by rivers like the Ambuba - which gives its name to the place - Marau, Baianao, Beach, Angola -Rio. There live a few dozen people, all with some degree of kinship, scattered in small houses, board or mud, through the rain forest and the end of the mangroves of the large bay. The community does not have access to electricity and live fishery, syringe cut, small fields and work in nearby fields. What is special is that the place has an exuberant nature and a beautiful river, all winding and virgin, with some falls of water, big trees and wildlife. The simple way of life makes this place even more special. But the whole charm lies in the privacy that the visitor enjoys , because he hardly cross with people during your stay, unless he want to.

Wild tourism with comfort, safety and hygiene.
The visitor is on a wild hut, typical architecture amid Atlantica forest and near the beautiful River Ambuba. We do not have electricity, so the lighting is made by FIFO or lamp. All human activities are orchestrated here as the sunlight and the visitor will be no different.
Tourism with social responsibility
Our 'purism' piggybacks with the concept of Tourism Community Based. Here also the natives are tourism agents. They are working at the reception of guests and stay with profit, strengthening the community so that they do not have to leave their homes to seek employment in town. This way they can keep alive their culture, traditions and way of life.
